Chapter Eleven

Waking up the following morning...Katie could hear their parents downstairs; her mum had obviously decided to stay over. Suddenly, she heard his phone ring, quickly, she shook him awake.

‘Lewis!’

‘Mmm...’

‘Lewis! Wake up!’

‘What?’

‘Your phone!’

‘Leave it! They’ll call back.’

‘No...we should get up...’

‘What for? It’s the holidays.’

‘Because if we got caught...’

‘We’re not doing anything wrong!’

‘No...I know but-’

‘Just relax!’ He kissed her neck. ‘I’ve wanted to do this for a long time you know...’

‘Me too!’ She rolled over. ‘But...if things DO progress with our parents then...’

‘Then we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it...’

Suddenly, the phone rang again.

‘Look, I think you’d better...’

He grumbled and reached for his phone. ‘Hello?’

‘Guess whooo???!!!’

He winced. ‘Lisa!’

‘Hey! I thought we could go out for breakfast.’

‘Well...yeah, I suppose...when?’

‘I’m on my way now...’

‘You’re what??’ He sat bolt upright.

‘Yeah! I thought I’d call round...I hope that’s alright...’

‘Err...’ He was desperate for an excuse about how early it was, but when he saw that it was quarter to ten...he realised that he didn’t have a leg to stand on.’

‘That is alright isn’t it?’

‘Err...Yeah...twenty minutes? You could join us for brunch or something...’

‘That sounds great! See you then!’

‘OK!’

Katie stared at him. ‘Twenty minutes??’

‘Yeah!’ He grinned. ‘Should be enough for you surely!!’
